How Does Occupational Therapy Fit With
School Learning?

Occupational Therapy provides opportunities to improve school learning by enhancing self confidence, developing fine motor skills, perceptual skills, hand-eye coordination, sensory motor development and academic skills.
Occupational Therapy is an attention to a child's special needs and is a specialised support that a regular school does not provide.

How Does It Work?

OTECS offers after school appointments in rooms or in some cases through school arrangement, sessions during school time. Preschool aged children can be seen throughout the day in OTECS rooms or at their preschool by arrangement.

Will My Child Enjoy Occupational Therapy?

Activities are not like conventional school activities. Occupational Therapy at OTECS is both fun and educational as sessions are designed to have a balance between work and play.

How Much Will It Cost Me?

Occupational Therapy fees are claimable through Health Funds if you are insured at that level of cover.
Please call Janet on 0416008473 for current session and assessment rates.

How Long Are Occupational Therapy Sessions?

Sessions are 30 minutes or 45 minutes in duration.

What Is The Benefit?

Early intervention provides the opportunity to correct and develop the physical skills needed for learning thus enhancing self esteem and overall learning in the long term.
